If you were planning to donate to the SA, but now will not, I encourage you to let the SA know why. This Christmas, let your local ball ringer know why you refuse to put anything in his kettle. For you legal guys, what happens to me if:1) I refuse to sign their form stating I have read and understand this policy2) I ignore this policy3) How far can they go in restricting possession of guns by people who live in SA-owned homes. No idea about #3 either, but I know my employer has a similar policy that's part of a larger policy. They lump it into the same area as sexual harrassment and theft.
Here they can terminate you if you bring a weapon (knife, gun, etc. Even if you have a concealed weapons permit and the weapon is legal) They can also terminate anyone who happened to know about the weapon and didn't rat you out. This is to promote and encourage a safe workplace'Are we at last brought to such a humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our own defense?' - Patrick HenryI am the NRA, and I vote'In the eyes of a tyrant, the patriot is a terrorist.' I wonder if the SA willing to provide for your personal saftey when you are in/on the SA premisis and in safefy challenged areas as required by your work?Maybe we all ought to drop a bit of ammo in every bell ringer's pots in silent protest of this particular bit of sorry, PC, policy.A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun. This gives moderate exercise to the body & it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind.

Nothing like encouraging people not to give to a Christian organization who is dedicated to helping people in need all because they have adopted what sounds like a standard 'no weapons at work' policy. I hope that you are outraged enough to immediately notify them that you can no longer, in good conscience, take a paycheck or receive housing from them! Weapons include, but are not limited to, guns, knives, explosives and other potential weapons.'
The Salvation Army is pleased to offer a comprehensive benefit program to full-time employees. It is designed to offer coverage options with the flexibility to meet both individual and family needs.
I have a 1' finger nail clipper/file that the TSA considers to be a potential weapon.I like Fish Springs' idea and am looking forward to dropping some 115gr. FMJ in the SA's buckets this coming holiday season!Well since Marist stirred the pot with the ebad reference I'll give it another stir.
Please make sure that ammo that you drop into the kettle is of the non-tox variety. Not uncommon for a busuness or organization to have a policy like this. I work for General Electric and we have the same policies in place.

People, that's about all this is. Not uncommon for a busuness or organization to have a policy like this. I work for General Electric and we have the same policies in place. Should I quit working for them?Yes, our outfit doesn't allow guns on site without special permission. This is because a lot of our sites in western Canada are remote camps, they also don't allow alcohol at them. The petroleum exploration/drilling/production business gives those in charge of sites enough to worry about. This is an employee handbook. Pick any organization you can think of (even the NRA) and they probably have similar regulations for employees. I'm sure the SA doesn't give a hoot one way or the other about you and your guns but they do have lawyers on the payroll and they write handbooks like this so that all that money they collect in those pots doesn't end up in the wallets of the John Edwards of the world. We can’t carry a weapon on us or transport it in our vehicles while at work either – it is company policy and has to do with liability issues no one at my work is anti gun or has political agendas.
This is starting to sound like mass paranoia.I’m with you on the E-thingy but this is just wellI also don’t believe that every man, woman and child should be armed, frankly there are too many idiots out there and I rather not get my @ss shot off by them.Hell there are gun owners at the range that need to have their weapons taken away and shove up their collective rectums - they’re so unsafe! That is all I have to say about that!
